Western State Bank Donates to 16 Local Causes

During our Holiday Open House, we asked customers to nominate local non-profits or causes for our Cause in Your Community donation event. From these nominations, two causes at each location received a $500 donation from us.


Our customers were excited by this chance to improve their communities. We received a lot of nominations for great local causes. Read more about the recipients below.


Casa Grande, AZ

The Valley Humane Society is the only no-kill animal shelter in Pinal County. They accept nearly 1,000 unwanted dogs and cats a year. When animals come through the shelter, they receive the care and attention they deserve.


Home of Hope is a center of Teen Challenge of Arizona. This residential recovery program serves women and women with small children. They offer help to women who have addictive behaviors, have been abused or suffer from life-controlling programs. 


Chandler, AZ

The Chandler Salvation Army gives emergency financial assistance, food programs and much more to our community. Their parent organization has helped people across the globe since 1865. 


ICAN is an organization that equips youth and teens to achieve personal and academic success while working on critical skills they'll need as adults. ICAN empowers young people in our community and supports their growth.


Devils Lake, ND

The Hope Center provides food, shelter and support to those in need. They focus on helping meet the nutritional, shelter, emotional and spiritual needs of others.

Fargo/West Fargo, ND

Cats Cradle Shelter is a no-kill shelter for rescued cats and kittens. After being cared for, the cats are put up for adoption in the hopes they will find their forever homes. 


Hospice of the Red River Valley provides a comfortable environment for end-of-life patients, helping patients and their families navigate the end-of-life journey. They also offer grief support services as a community service, free of charge to people who have lost loved ones in the last 13 months. 


Mesa, AZ

Over 2,000 children have called Sunshine Acres home since it opened in 1954. The organization cares for children who are separated from their parents and prepares them for success in life. 


Valley of the Sun Dog Rescue is a no-kill shelter that rehabilitates abandoned, injured or abused dogs and finds their forever homes. They specialize in American pit bulls and American Staffordshire terriers.


Scottsdale, AZ

The Southwest Wildlife Conservation Center rescues and rehabilitates wildlife, educates the community about animals and researches endangered species. When they aren’t able to return to the wild after rehabilitation, animals live a happy and comfortable life at their Wildlife Sanctuary.

A family founded Cortney’s Place when they realized there were so few post-graduate choices for their disabled adult daughter. The organization offers intellectually and developmentally disabled adults an inclusive, stimulating and meaningful community-based day program.

Sun City, AZ

St. Vincent de Paul in Phoenix is a non-profit dedicated to serving the underprivileged and providing others with the opportunity to serve. Their programs cover the areas of feeding, clothing, housing and healing. They've been present and assisting families in central and northern Arizona since 1946.


St. Mary’s Food Bank has been feeding the hungry in Arizona for over 50 years. As one of the largest food banks in the nation, they serve nine of the 15 state counties. 


Sun City West, AZ

Valley View Community Food Bank prides itself on serving wholesome, nutritious food to those in need. They serve our community with compassion and respect.


Helping Hands, part of the Sun City West Foundation, provides temporary medical equipment for rehabilitation or temporary assistance for free to community members of Sun City West and surrounding areas.

Beginning November 1, 2021, we'll offer direct QuickBooks access to accounts in business online banking. If you use QuickBooks, this means you'll be able to sync your accounts between QuickBooks and business online banking.

If you currently access QuickBooks through personal online banking, you'll need to transition to business online banking by November 1, 2021. Effective December 31, you will no longer have access to QuickBooks through personal online banking.
